Blimey Peter, there is something you have not cleaned ? I am terrified of heights and ladders! If they were mounted at ground level I'm sure they would have been washed and polished!

Had to get mine cleaned a couple of years ago. They are flat, on a flat roof. At suggestion of one of the guys doing the cleaning we removed the vhf FM broadcast aerial (wasn't using it anyway) as it was sturdy enough for large feathered things (pigeons being some of the worst) to sit comfortably up there. When it eventually comes to replacing the invertor (I'm continually being told mine will only last around 5 years - it's now over 7 years old) the panels will be mounted slightly differently to put a bit of angle on them. Will probably also add a divertor so that any excess goes to warming the hot water tank (once a heating element has been added!).
Best April so far for me. But there have been better months for generation.

Graham ...as a rule of thumb the angle from horizontal should be around the angle of your latitude ..... you could angle them or tow your house to the equator ...either would be fine K

John ...you can get tracking frames but they tend to be costly and up the maintenance levels of what is pretty much a 'fit and forget' installation
