I have a 1987 4 4 4 seater with wire wheels. Does anybody know if the wire wheels from a plus 4 will fit? I believe the plus 4 wheels are a little wider and therefore allow a better selection of tyres and consequently improved handling. I am cocerned that they might bind around the track rod ends, and bind further on the rubbing strip at full lock.
look forward to all your thoughts, thanks in anticipation

I cant answer the question specifically idea , but take care that the tyre inner wall does not rub on the inner front wing on full lock.

Barry,
not sure. I know that in 1991 the plus 4 moved to the plus 8 chassis.
However in "Morgans to 1997" by Roger Bell it states that the 4/4 ran on either 165/15 or 195/60 tyres.

It also states that the 87 plus 4 ran on 195/60 tyres.

Maybe you could ask the factory to comment.
Good luck.
