A few years ago, when I was visiting the M3W assembly area at the factory, I saw a large box of metal brackets and asked what they were. I was told they were the engine lifting brackets that every S&S X-Wedge came fitted with from S&S and that these were going for scrap. I was given one and it has been used a few times now. I wish I had grabbed a few more.

Do you think one could be purchased either from MMC or S&S ?

You don't need anything as fancy as the S&S bracket a bit of bent angle works fine.

Rog, what was the reason for removing the engine?
Please don’t take offence but your workshop gives mine a run in the untidy stakes🤣

I had the engine out to do the Bleazey mods to the Centa, just as precaution as I do a few long trips and wanted to check it out having done over 20,000 miles on the inserts which were in there, as it turned out they were fine.

Yes I agree with the untidy comment you probably won't believe if I said prior to the lockdown I made three trips to the tip to get rid of junk. Still a few more to go I guess.

Junk? There’s some useful stuff there, be careful what you get rid of, you never know when you may need it, that’s my philosophy anyway!

As Rog says, the bracket is easy to make...a bit of steel from the scap box (or a comer of the garage) plus some hi-tech CAD (cardboard aided design)...

That is great, several different lifting brackets all designed by CAD (love the previous acronym).

GLLOQ,

How did you unbolt the engine (4 studs) from the 'bellhousing' that surrounds the Centa unit? Has there been a previous modification that allows this?
