I have often wondered whether a removable visor in fibreglass or carbon fibre that followed the form of the first 6 inches of the hood would be functional. It would have to use a front rail of the Easyup hood and the clips, if Morgan would sell them. It might reduce noise and the back flow of air into the "cockpit" and reduce sun glare as the sun gets low. The edge would have to be protected for safety, perhaps it could be covered to match the hood or the upholstery. The only problem would be how to stow it when the hood is up.

Peter, Island Mog, sent me these beautiful pictures. Thank you, Peter. I think that's a very nice solution. Also the fit to the inside mirror looks really good. And I like it that one has a choice of a variety of colours.

Yes, I bought a set of bracket/hinges like that, I just don't like the exposed look with all the nut-n-bolts-n-brackets, so I never fitted them

I'm thinking a neat polished stainless steel channel, with the rod hinge internally & then the perspex is bonded into that

Folks - I had a set of Perspex visors on my last Mog - about as useful as a sausage at a barmitzfa! Their only use was as an air deflector when angled fully up to send air and rain over the top of my head. The solid leather ones on my current car are so much better - they actually work as intended!!!

i found this offer from Williams in the link below. Does anyone know this product? Is it the Morgan original or a replica? If replica, is it as good as the original? BTW, I can't find anywhere what original Morgan sun visors cost unless they're part of a new car order.

They look identical to the ones on my Morgan, originally supplied by Williams.
They look and work well.

Heinz, they are the proper MMC ones, I paid very slightly less a year ago at the factory for a pair, but parts usually go up about 5% annually
