Because of first gear ratio hard to keep the rpms up in first gear in slow traffic sometimes. Engine handles this smoother now. The engine revs more freely, smoother overall, and more power. Overall drivability improved. Don't have to downshift quite as much.

My Morgan came with stage 1. I understand people say that is a big improvement going from stock to stage 1 though I have no idea and maybe I am less appreciative I did not think stage 1 running was all that good. Going from stage 1 to stage 2 felt like a significant improvement and the way the engine should run as the Morgan runs very strong, linear with no dead spots. Historically below 3k rpm felt like a struggle and not ideal now I would say you are better down to 2,500 rpms and even below that. The power is delivered far more linear and is strong all the way up to 5k and if you are not paying attention beyond that.

The cams are not that hard to do so it would be a good winter project.

I received the stage G56 Stage 1 kit today. I'll probably try to install it next weekend.
At some point in the future, I'll look into upgrading to G56 Stage 2 based on the positive first-hand feedback.

On a different note, just about an hour ago I decided to go for a drive into the Clear Creek Canyon, which is basically next to my home and because it runs by a river (Clear Creek) and also has several tunnels within 15 miles. Just as I was entering the canyon road a police officer started following me. I noticed him and started driving quite slowly. Half a mile later lights on and I pull over to the side. The young officer came over and was so curious about the vehicle - he wanted to take a picture of the vehicle and ask questions. Since I do not have vehicle plates/registration yet, I was fully expecting to be stopped and warned by an officer, perhaps even get a citation, but I did not expect to be congratulated, complimented and be asked if it would be OK to take a photo of the vehicle smile

Oh, and he said it was OK if I wanted to drive at more than 30 miles per hour ...

Only in a Morgan 3-Wheeler!

You will find the Evergreen Police waving at you, well at least I think they are!!! I live in Jeffco and Clear Creek is closed to non residents, yesterday the Police were stopping traffic, I took each of the 3 Morgans out for a spin on each occasion they waved me through with a smile and two of the Officers wishing me well by name. That's the local mountain boys for you.

As they say insanity is a fine line. I love driving them as each one has a completely different style and experience.
