That one was a rebuild write off I think, made it cheaper as didn’t need front wings

Some interesting specials there .... nice workmanship.... the 'flat rad' conversion is very convincing overall and a very pretty car.
Cheers
K Like you K - I love the Flat Rad conversion, but not very keen on the Plus 8 one!

I toyed with the idea of selling the Plus8 for this but I thought it was up for too much plus I don't fit in them that well... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/07/20170520_095024.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/07/20170520_095010.jpg) If I ever had the spare funds would love to have a flat converted to a new big engine, all new running gear, electrics etc and move the seat back and painted in bright colour.

I too really like the look of the flat rads with cycle wings, and if my memory serves, there was/is one that was modified to quite an extent and identified as Black Sheep..? Think I read of it in Miscellany a few years back, looked the business..(-:

No Morgan yet...

Sorry about the poor quality but it's a phone pic of a less than perfectly printed page of a Miscellany from 1984 ..... don't think I would have done it quite like this...but here's a real wooden pickup. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/12/20200512_180809.jpg) So, I wasn't the first to think the unthinkable! Think I read of it in Miscellany a few years back, looked the business..(-: The Black Sheep is a flat rad +4 owned (and raced) by Barry Sumner. It has been through so many iterations that I had totally lost count of the chronology but suffice it to say the power plants I have seen in it are: Standard Vanguard Ford Crossflow Ford Zetec Rover V8 (highly tuned) Ford V6 I will try to dig out some photos sometime.
Andy G 1999 +8 , Indigo Blue. Ex-John McKecknie/Mike Duncan 1955 +4 racer.

Thanks for the heads-up Andy.. I think it may have had the V8 set up when I read of it in Miscellany.

Mog615 .... any pics of specials most definitely welcome ..... I'm still slightly surprised the a car that has been around for so long, is simple and relatively easy to work on, and is often in the hands of enthusiasts and those who enjoy the 'road less travelled' hasn't spawned more specials ....... perhaps the original design is just right and quirky enough in it's own right that individualising rather than radical modification is enough.
