Thanks, Stephen for confirming that Stage 1 is unlikely to cause any issues. Good to know that ECU is quite tolerant. I wrote to G56 also and Chris said the same thing. So - I feel confident and will do the install after my boys are done with their finals/exams. Good project for some father/sons bonding

My M3W is brand new, and with less than 400km, but I've done some easy improvements and "repaired" the back mudguard installed from factory with my father (he is 76 now). I haven't see my father on its all four and even crawling under a car for decades! And the magic of the Morgan did it! I spend a couple of fantastic evening with him in the garage. It's something I love from this car.

It's more about the memories and experiences. Someone said: "Life Is Measured in Memories. Take Time to Make Some."

The hardest part of the install is getting the used exhaust pipes off. I would recommend using something like WD-40 on the slip fit area of the pipes, just in the slits on the pipes leaving the main body of the pipes clean and dry. That leaves a good gripping area for some silicone strap wrenches to rotate/wiggle the pipes free. New words will be found😱😊

I used a deep penetrating lubricant soaking the joint and leaving overnight then using some straps and wiggling the pipes they came apart without too much effort. On reassembling I used some copper slip on the joint which makes it a lot easier to remove later on.

Bruce, I was thinking WD-40 but a "deep penetrating lubricant soaking the joint and leaving overnight" would certainly be better. What would be an example of that? If you can share the brand/product that would be great. Thanks!

I used SeaFoam Deep Creep which is available at Auto Stores and Walmart, there are a number of penetrating oils around and WD40 would work too, just leave it overnight to soak in.

Tim, I'm not sure if we have Plus-Gas here. At least I have not heard of it. I can check though.
Bruce, thanks for the info. I'll get some SeaFoam Deep Creep.

any penetrating oil will work. One trick is to actually heat the area up (not REALLY hot) and then spray it on as you will get some contraction and seperation
