On my 2019 M3W there are two different mounting positions for the lower end of the rear shocks. If I moved the shocks to the other position I believe it would raise the rear height of the machine, but is that their intended reason? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/10/11FE4BEA-A0EB-44F1-9672-A725C580A2E4.jpg)

Euro4 ride height adjustment? That was my thought. I am considering using them to gain some more clearance. Besides my driveway there are a few places I go that can bottom out the belly.

Probably would be better to get yourself a set of adjustable SPAX shocks, better ride and adjustability... it would look bizarre with the rear end jacked up like that?

Do you think I could raise the car an inch or two all the way around with the Spax Adjustables? And why Spax, or not some other coil over shock? The Ohlins come to mind but the fitment of them seems to be a bit problematic, and for what they cost they should sure as heck fit perfectly. You are correct about raising the back only, it would look like a stink bug unless I changed the front suspension uprights to the Euro4 spec as well.

Spax are probably 5 times cheaper than Ohlins and can be bought from Morgan :-)
Getting the bottom bolt out of the rear shock is a labor of love, so I would rather do it once and get adjustable shocks?

So you did put Spax Adjustables all the way around? Did you raise or lower yours , assuming you purchased a set? The only benefit I can buying them from MMC is they will fit without hassle.

Yes, bought 4 when they had 25% sale online. I raised a rear a bit since my car was pretty low, while traveling with a passenger + luggage. Overall, very happy with the setup. You will still have to grind the bushings, as the mounts are not equally wide 😂

I can't comment on the spax but what fitment issues are there with the ohlins? Mine dropped right in and the eye even adjusts which makes up for the slop on the shock mount as one of my shocks was about 1/2" out from the other. Now you have to shim left to right with washers but that was not a big deal as the factory shocks were shimmed with washers as well. Another surprise is the factory shocks and the bolt are different diameters on mine which also made for more slop.
By the way having measured the factory mounts they are impressively inconsistent. Now the ohlins price I have to agree they are a premium and from the stock shocks they are worth a premium in my book.
Can't comment on other shocks and their improvements as I did not want to risk buying multiple sets so I went right to the ohlins. I did just fit the fronts at first to save money but the ohlins in the back are so much less jarring.
