I shall fire her up and go for a drive I will be on my own in the car and I may meet up with another Morgan owner we will sit in our cars with a flask and chat at least 6 feet apart we will be parked up in a country side car park that at the moment is closed but as there is no barrier we will park in a corner and if anybody else comes close we will drive off I don’t think it’s irresponsible I think it conforms with the guidance and it’s my choice to do it.
Sounds perfect Colin. If you stay in the car I can't see how you'd be putting yourself at any risk.

People are allowed to go out for specific reasons since the lockdown. They will now be allowed if its possible to keep social distancing to go to work at the workplaces now allowed to open and we are encouraged to go out as long as we again keep 2m apart. So its up to us to use oiur common sense if those individuals have it ! Basically keep your distance !

Interesting in that some still want the population treated like children & told what to do. The lock down is/ was getting flaky & imho it is entirely appropriate that the population takes some responsibility for their welfare.

Colin ..good for you !!!..every day is precious and our cars bring us pleasure.
Hopefully we are sensible enough not to risk anybody's safety .
The frail people I deliver food and prescriptions to in my Morgan light up when they see the car and I always feel lucky to be able to take a small part in helping people.
Stay safe

Colin good for you. I am off in the Mog shopping today. Once to Tescos & then in the afternoon to Felixstowe ferry for some fresh fish & then the pharmacist for a prescription pick up.

Interesting in that some still want the population treated like children & told what to do. The lock down is/ was getting flaky & imho it is entirely appropriate that the population takes some responsibility for their welfare. It's a balancing act: the lockdown measures aren't really about protecting individuals from getting the virus but about protecting society (which includes healthcare capacity). If individuals choose not to protect themselves this has a knock-on effect for society. In a perfect world with a well-educated and socially aware society we should be able to simply inform people of the risks and the appropriate control measures, backed up by economic assistance where necessary, and let everyone act responsibly. The lockdown would have been shorter with greater compliance and economic activity could return sooner with appropriate control measures in place. It isn't a perfect world.
