Had a chat with G&W who seem fantastic however getting an agreed value is a problem at the moment as it needs a valuation at a dealer and as I can't drive it just now thats impossible.

NFU? thats the same as my Pal with the Jag, interesting.

I have used Peter Best for I guess 14 years but they wanted crazy money for the Roadster so I went to Headley six years ago.
This year they upped the premium £70. Peter Best was cheaper by £74. Called Headley & surprise surprise the under writer matched it.

Arwyn, who do you get to do valuations?

I've been with Gott & Wynne for 12 years, had an expensive claim 2 years ago and they handled it brilliantly. BHM know my car well so could probably give a valuation without seeing my car, only have to get a valuation every couple of years.

I have always used Headley for the Mog and Footman James for the 993. Horses for courses. Both excellent. I don't know what other Mog insurers are like but European breakdown is included with Headley. Not that I will need that this year by the looks of things!!

Been with Gott and Wynn since owning the Morgan. Very competitive compared to other companies and the price has remained reasonably constant year on year..
As previous post mentioned. Don’t bother with Carol Nash Ins. They asked me if my Norton Commando was a diesel.

Guys, just a heads-up, not all insurance policies or insurance companies are the same, so don't just follow PR, Spin or Price.

I work with insurers on a daily basis and some of the big names I work with use unbelievably poor practices.

I took the time to read the insurance policies and the T&C's very carefully - when I purchased my Roadster. Both Gott and Wynn and Headley are first class and either will cover Morgan's to a good level.

Many "specialist" classic car insurers are no more than the big boys dressing themselves with different names....to make them sound classic friendly.

By the way the same applies to your "modern tin-top" - there are some truly dreadful goings on..... tread carefully!

Honesty means doing it right, even when no one is looking!

2004 Roadster S1 3.0 V6 gone!

Absolutely. Insurance companies are measured not by the premiums they charge, but by their behaviour should you ever need to make a claim. I've been with Headley for 20 years and see no need to change, but Gott and Wynne also have an excellent reputation.
