With the demise (soon) of eMog a source for possible information falls away. A number of you will have seen my site http://morganhistoryinfo.services.officelive.com Since its inception, the number of pages, and therewith the amount of information has grown. If people have any special wishes for a topic or even a particular car to be covered, I would love to hear from you. You can always approach me directly through the site. Cheers, Hermen Pol

Hermen,
I've seen one or two other comments and wonder if he really is going to pull the plug on eMog. I'm not a member, never have been, but it's not the first time he's 'threatened' to close it...
Cheers,

Cheers, Never seen him threaten to close it before, he has however offered it too someone else to take over on occasion. I suspect the seeds were sewn some time ago when some t****r stuck TalkMorgan stickers all over his stunning UK car. Brian

I guess you must have been quite shocked when you saw the 'damage' caused by the TM stickers "all over his stunning (??) UK car" ? BTW My 5 year old son, when he isn't getting the attention he feels he deserves, resorts to "well you can't play with my ball". Hmmmm My thoughts however are that it's grinding to a halt anyway; shame as it contains a lot of good info. If it was run openly and with vigour and real enthusiasm it would be a good site. All IMHO of course
Cheers

As before, can I please ask that we do not bring eMog squabbles onto this forum. We has enough of this in the distant past and it is pointless, adding no value to the community.
You will notice I often point people toward gomog for information; therefore, I believe it can be a useful resource for older Morgans (especially the +8); however, if the owner decides to close it, that is their choice.

Simon, to clarify it is not GoMog that is being closed. It is eMog, Lorne has indicated that he intends to expand GoMog. Julf Helsingius has set up a Google group MOG-Group, which has got off to a good start.

I'd agree with that entirely. DG sites are a very broad church. Some have different approaches to others and some evince an attitude which, in the subjective views of posters, isn't satisfactory, courteous or even balanced. That is one reason why I don't post on MogTalk or EMog any more In many ways, it's a consumer issue. If EMog is worth anything, it will survive. If it isn't, it won't. I for one ain't losing any sleep over that but I accept that others may feel differently. Put simply, if enough people feel it has a worthwile function, it will continue in some form and Mt Goldman's presence or otherwise won't change that. if it does continue, then let's wish it well The King is dead- long live the king!
