I've fitted similar to these in various locations on the Aero and they work very well.

LED lights

The added bonus is that the current draw is negligible ......

Thanks to all for your replies, still wondering what means of door activation does the factory install on the newer cars?

I fitted LED lights in the plus 4 (2014) up until now they have operated through a plug in switch that fits in the 12v socket.
With some lockdown time I've decided to make the installation more permanent. They will operate via 2 door switches with a manual override switch under the dash. I've fitted and wired the door switches using the provided O/B cable and located the other end under the dash along with the P/R wire.
The lights now operate but only if I attach an earth wire from the door switch fixing hole to the bodywork, obviously because they are into wood.

Question,
Is there a best or proper point to attach the earth wire?, anybody know how the factory does it?

Three under dash LED's controlled by door switches with timeout via BCU, as standard fit on Roadster.

On a Mustang the puddle lights project a silhouette of a Mustang. How cool would that be if we had Morgan script puddle lights.

When my LandRover went in for a service the loaned me a new Jag. Those doors projected a Jaguar with a kitten following behind.
I though that showed flair, imagination and a sense of humour, it made me smile anyway.
