Hi All,

The latest from Morgan 3 wheeler

http://www.morgan3wheeler.co.uk/news.php?id=25

Production has finally started on the M3W, two for Goodwood, one special maybe the Superdry??( I thought this was a beer) and the fourth a development car, cant wait for more pics.. love

With any luck I should hear back about the 3wheeler being allowed into Australia, by the end of this month cheersI might have to move to the mother land if it doesn't come to OZ..

Regards

Mika

Thanks for spotting that. So 4 of 'em on the way. That only leaves a few hundred to go...

But seriously, are they implying that these 4 will be examples of the standard production version, as opposed to the previous prototypes for shows? The reason I ask is that if 2 are "for Goodwood" still sounds like it is for purposes of show, although that obviously still doesn't rule out standard production.

Good to see 'production' beginning. I have seen the pre-production model, quess it is not too innocent different from the production version.

What struck me when I saw it was how low it sits to the road. Looking forward to the time when I can have a test drive. joy

Does the welding look a tad rough?.

Not a huge issue if the chassis is not exposed I suppose.

I bought a Caterham Seven in 1984 and sold it to part fund my Mog in '02. It had an Arch chassis and the welding was superb, the chassis looked as if it had been cast not welded. But I understand that there are complaints about the standard of welding on later Sevens, so maybe that's how it's done these days

I would still love one

Brian

Great news!

Seems as we get a serious amount of tubes for our money smile

The half glossy alu-look-a-like colour is great, my fav choice so far! Guess I have to specify my final colour/leather choices soon...

I'm at the factory picking up my 4/4 tomorrow so I'll see if I can have a look in!
The welding looks about the same quality as on my BMW bikes and previous Triumphs.... beautiful welds cost money these days! Who makes the chassis by the way...the same company making the trads ones?

I 'm told that while they are making 4 cars just now it is NOT real production. A bit of "spin" apparently!!!

Just got a promo e-mail from news@morgan-motor.gtml1.com regarding the 3w at Goodwood. Too bad MMC Marketing can't spell.........

The correct form in "to whet your appetite".
"Whet" means to hone or to make more keen or stimulated, whereas "wet" means to cover or soak with water.
