Also, check out the Bevel Box remote fill kit from morgancustom.net -- makes an oil change much easier and you can put more oil in.

Thank you!

I assume that "BevelBox remote fill kit" you are referring to is "Bevel Box Vent Kit" ... if so does this allow just easier re-filling of the bevel box oil? I mean ould you not still have to lift the vehicle to drain the bevel box oil right?
Also confused about how it lets you put more oil? Do you fill the extension pipe also?

Thanks Obie. I'll have to lift the vehicle and take a look.
Now I need to figure out how/where to jack the rear end.

You still have to lift it to drain, but it’s much easier to fill from the top with this kit.

It’s connected to the vent plug, so your oil level can be higher, than the fill plug, up to 800ml or so. I found it really beneficial, as it significantly reduced my noise. (600ml)

Its easier the first few times lifting it but once youve done it a few times you can do it on the ground - its a question of knowing what tools work best (If your stuck I will dig out the ones I use). as far as filling it goes the level is correct when it stops coming out of the top hole on level ground - so I usually slightly over fill it and leave it with the drain container under until it stops running back out!. I use a long pipe with a funnel at one end and an angled Au tube at the other which has been cut to jam in the hole. Good luck its very doable

Here is what I have done with no lift needed:

1.) Go for a quick 5-10 minute ride around the block to warm up the bevel box oil.

2.) Park the Three Wheeler on a slight downward incline if possible with the front wheels higher than the rear.

3.) Remove the drain plug (hex head bolt located directly below the fill plug. Fill plug is the hex socket below the yellow check-mark in this photo).
Note: It will be behind the cross bar brace, but you can reach it with a wrench or smaller sockets.

3.) Remove the fill plug (hex socket below the yellow check-mark example photo) to allow air to enter the box and expedite the drain process.
Note: I pumped some new fluid in there just to push out any extra old oil.

4.) Install drain plug.

5.) Move the Three Wheeler to a level area.

6.) Fill up the bevel box until the oil flows out the fill hole (approx 350mL?)

7.) Install fill plug.

8.) Go for another 5-10 minute ride around the block

9.) Repeat drain and fill procedure and enjoy the Three wheeler for another 500-1000 ish miles until you have to do it again.

Note: I think more frequent spending ~$25 on the bevel box oil is good practice and preventative maintenance to ensure clean fluid is in there and better than going too long or unknowingly letting fluid level get too low over time. $25 is better than a few thousand for bevel box replacement oldgit

That is awesome!
Thanks a lot for posting details and photos. Extremely helpful and very much appreciated!
I agree with your frequent oil change mentality. For sure $25 is better than replacing the bevel box.
