I was out today on my bike and while cycling through Cobham and was overtaken by a lime green Plus 4 resplendent with a driver wearing a leather hat with ear pads (it was about 30 degrees at the time). He was being followed closely by an Allard open tourer probably mid 50's making a very satisfying quiet rumble. It had me wondering about how varied the Morgan palette is these days. The current buyers seem to have taken the colour options seriously and liberated themselves from the Red/BRG preferences of days gone by. When we searched for our 4 seater we found only two available in the region one became ours, in Jaguar Gunmetal Grey, and the other had a finish that varied between purple and green depending on your viewpoint. While I might not choose lime green I like the new wave of bright and clever colours that recent Morgans owners have chosen, what's you favourite modern colour?

I would like a metallic dark red for my next one. I do like the metallic orange as per the brands hatch Morgan but it did not get my wife’s seal of approval.

I like my red one, but am trying to resist the temptation to spray her satin black.....

I really liked the bulldog blue and regal red on the 4/4 runabout. Indigo blue with contrasting red interior and red wire wheels is also nice. Or royal ivory with red interior red wire wheels. Or all red body, wire wheels interior. Or the one that I did not buy, narrow 4/4 all connaught green, body, wires and interior.

It's nice to see Morgans in many different colours. My color may be conservative, but I still like it. There is no uniformity in my perception. Sometimes I am delighted and love the fine nuances in different light and weather, other times I find the colour a little too lifeless. Overall it is a good relationship. If there were another Morgan, it would be a lighter colour again. For example Jaguar E type Willow green with red seats.

I love my black car, though its a pig to keep clean it looks amazing when dust free! As for new colours, I quite like that burnt orange you see a lot of but also the grey cars that seem to be getting more popular.
I once saw a car coming up behind me on the M25. I couldnt make it out at first. It had been painted in Vantablack which soaks up almost all light that hits it. Quite a bizarre thing to see and comprehend, Almost just looked like a black hole coming up behind me, very odd !
That would be cool for The Captain !

Mr Conservative here , still like my Indigo also Royal ivory but if specifying a new one it would be a hard call between Giallo fly and the blue that is on the second hand 4/4 at Beamish . All with lighter shades of leather .
