Damn this thread! Got me wasting my time looking at Morgan colours again and they all look so good (even that pink one!). Love the new yellows in particular; and orange - although around here orange is a bit too "Easyjet"!

This thread is a little bit beautiful and a little bit torturous. I know this Heron grey/Cuba car, very nice. Isn't the two tone a willow green, or some kind of that? What I imagine in my first post is a color combination like the Caterham in this special series some time ago. It was such a soft light green with red seats. I have found it, a 2017 Sprint. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/23/6C52EBCD-B744-4BBD-88D6-EB6971C7FE1A.jpg)

When we popped into Krazy Horse last year they had an absolutely stunning 110 4/4 in the showroom in a gorgeous solid plum colour. Whoever got that has a beaut!

I was out today on my bike and while cycling through Cobham and was overtaken by a lime green Plus 4 resplendent with a driver wearing a leather hat with ear pads (it was about 30 degrees at the time). He was being followed closely by an Allard open tourer probably mid 50's making a very satisfying quiet rumble. It had me wondering about how varied the Morgan palette is these days. The current buyers seem to have taken the colour options seriously and liberated themselves from the Red/BRG preferences of days gone by. When we searched for our 4 seater we found only two available in the region one became ours, in Jaguar Gunmetal Grey, and the other had a finish that varied between purple and green depending on your viewpoint. While I might not choose lime green I like the new wave of bright and clever colours that recent Morgans owners have chosen, what's you favourite modern colour? Hi, Now I wonder if the purple/green one was the one I chose? It is painted in the style of more recent TVRs and does take on different hues in the sunlight. The colour is Pearlescent Amaranth and can be seen in the Welcome forum "My first Morgan". It's a recent thread. I did have a Reliant Scimitar which was lime green, in fact it was Reliant Robin Apple Green and there's a story to that but I'll dig out some photos of the Scimitar and my TVR3000S and post them on the "other cars" forum and maybe recount the stories of each. Too busy at the moment trying to get the hang of retirement which I have been doing for almost 20 years. Richard

Richard Hi Richard, the car we looked at was (I think) at Mole Valley Motors near Horsham, it was rather splendid and was in the running. We settled on the car we first saw at Bell and Colvill mainly because of the colours and the serendipity, we went in on a whim and there it was, newly arrived, unprepped and saying "buy me". I also had a TVR years ago, a Griffith, also bought from Mole Valley when they were in Chessington. i liked that car although we had out fair share of TVR problems and eventually traded it for an Audi S2.

It was Mole Valley in Chessington that triggered our ownership many years ago. I went to look at a Noble GTO and there was an Aero S1 in the showroom. I went for a spin in it and it just gave me the biggest grin. The Noble was definitely a superior rocket sled but felt like a track car and not an experience. It also had an interior that fell out of a christmas cracker. Damn good chassis and steering mind you. Still might need to own one of those for a while one day?
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

"Morgan, An Experience..."
Alistair, I like that. It sums up in 3 words, what makes Morgan ownership so special.
Nothing I've driven, before or since, comes close to the impact driving Tarka, with Caroline, on our extended test drive, had on both of us. After Caroline had driven the car for about half an hour she turned to me, smiled and said "You Basta*d. When we went up to MMC to drive the car she was not at all convinced and I expected to have to argue my corner. As we drove back into the factory she was working out how we would pay for it.
The rest, as they say, is history.
