Bored so decided to try calling the local Woman's right group.....pleasant lady...sounded young....answered the phone and asked how she could help me....I asked to be transferred to the guy in charge... she told me she would look that up and asked if I could hold....I responded...gladly.
I was on hold for about 30 minutes … listening to some pleasant on hold music.... she came back on the line and asked if I was still holding....I responded I was....she put me back on hold....
Some people have NO sense of humor....

One of our neighbours rang the bell and stood the 2Mtrs away and mumbled that she was really worried as she had lost her sense of smell and taste - I told her to go back home and take her mask off I think that'll help.

A reflection of today’s standards?
If WWII happened today...
1. Can I have more clarity on the “Your country needs you” slogan, it’s too ambiguous and I’m confused.
2. Why aren’t you doing enough to prevent these air raids?
3. Does the siren apply to everyone?
4. There are only male and female toilets in the air raid shelter and I don’t identify as either.
5. This respirator haversack has a leather strap and I’m a vegan.
6. Why cant I have almond milk on my ration card
7. I find the term “black out” offensive.
8. I find the lack of colour options within military uniforms oppressive.
9. Why didn’t we have stock piles of spitfires at the start of this conflict?

I did wonder about posting it in this forum. It could or possibly would be better in a Covid related one as it is more a comment on attitudes nowadays. Perhaps not funny as such in my normal but sometimes odd sense of humour it raises “smile of recognition”.
I’d be happy for it to be moved there though.
By the way, the tinnitus post is not meant as a jibe against Dyslexia sufferers. It reminded me of someone I worked with who was dyslexic. She sometimes made deliberately targeted comments using her dyslexia to great comic effect. Spoonerisms were a favourite of hers.
A bit like the humour on The Last Leg.
