Thanks Mark. On mine the collar unscrewed that allowed the gearknob to unscrew - both from a tube with external threads either end (for collar and know respectively) and 3 grubscrews that pinched an inner separate plastic tube that was over the gear stick. Seemed a little Heath Robinson but it worked!
It’s Heath Robinson at its finest - I’ve got a Moto-Lita gear knob which needs to be tapped out to fit but at least with the Morgan one off and the lever thread now cleared it can be replaced at any time I fancy a change.
