Welcome from Cologne, Malcolm. Your descriptions and those of some TM members in your area sound like you have wonderful landscapes and roads there. I wish you a soon start in your beautiful Morgan in the hope that the situation will be better and safer for all of us not too far from now.

Welcome to the party Malcolm. I'm from the North East but living in exile in M25 land, so I miss the countryside and roads up there. Might look you up if I am visiting the area in the future?

Many thanks for all your messages and warm welcomes into the TM community, much appreciated.
Oz,Sea Tac Tom yes got David Wellings book, great ideas, starting compiling lists to do,has anyone thoughts, experience on wing protectors?

Nostalgia john, very impressive list,I like making improvements.

Mutley,GordonD,Kenneth, if you visit Beamish Morgan again, try the South Causey Inn,fabulous pub, accommodation, walking distance from garage, also Beamish Museum.

James, hopefully see you around, Pickles, Ha Way the Lads.

Jack the Lad,is it the Glendenning Arms you're referring to,do you know Derek with Triumph Spitfire, installs stoves. Also have bad experiences with A690 @ Stoneygate, for some unknown reason a van wanted to take my photo🚔,sorry Ossifer.

Dean Royal, familiar with that coastline, nice Fish and chips from Downies.

Peter J,trying to think of viable excuses being 100 miles from home in Morgan, to do food shopping.

Heinz, yes we're surrounded with beautiful roads, Northumberland, North York Moors,Yorkshire Dales,Lake District, all national parks, also North Pennines AONB,all within 1 hour drive, and most of all come with the famous Northern welcome.

As stated previously, must try to upload photos from Samsung tablet, got to admit was last in the queue when techy qualifications handed out.

Anyway going into mancave to do some happy hammer and spanner weilding until 7pm tonight, then watching the Ministry of Boris.

Take care, MMC.

What a day I said to SWMBO to hell with today fed the mare and stallion the sun is shinning and I wanted to go over the pennines . So its off and away stopped at Middleton inTeesdale and a sit on the grass for lunch. . But my itch needs scratching more, a lot more in the mog and its onto the Pennines . It was empty all to ourselves as we crossed over them . Only spotted 1 car .After a great climb in the Mog over the top and down onto the A66 and headed for Scotch corner sunny and a nice wind glanced to look at June and she is fast asleep at 70mph . How she does it I will never know . I don't think the Queen can get that comfy . Must be those door flaps that the trimmer made . Lots of cars etc on the A66 going like hell . Whats the point , l Wanted to do that for years another thing and the roads empty . IT DONT GET ANY BETTER .

Hi Jack great minds think alike, first use of the Morgan in 68days (not counting of course) drive over moors from Derwent water then onto St John's chapel for our exercise and picnic riverside then over moors again to Tessdale past High force though Middleton in Teesdale then onto to Barney castle then home.Roads empty as you said, a lot of cars parked at lower force which usually is a stop for us great walk from lower to high force along riverside.Only saw 2 classics a Morgan outside Lanchester and a nice TR4 on st John's Chapel green having a picnic.Great to be out again feel it could be light at end of tunnel but will not abuse freedom just yet.Cheers.

Beware of Staindrop they are digging the roads up and you cannot get past it . I had to drive towards Darlington and drive in a few backwoods to get back on track
did not spot another sports car all day, on A1(M) just a gentle cruise at 70mph home

NOW I HAVE TO TAKE SWMBO SHOPPING IN TOWN HELP.

Hi and welcome
Your story is a carbon copy of mine, car was delivered and never moved until yesterday when we had our first run out of 75 miles around the Yorkshire Wolds.
I have to say it was an experience that has left me with a load of questions to ask and a few minor jobs to do.
I am midway between using Beamish or travelling to Lincolnshire, as yet undecided. Have you joined the MSC club and local meets,
Anyway you should be able to venture out for a limited run now....all the best but stay safe.
