Somewhere in Scotland?
I have been digitising my father's slide collection and came across a 1980s photograph of his Plus 8 whilst touring in Scotland. This was a very underexposed photo but through the miracles of recovery software I have managed to to turn it into a half decent photograph reminiscent of a 1930s postcard. It certainly seems to sum up the romance of Morganeering in my mind. My mother - 99 this year - can't quite remember where it is but thought that it might be somewhere near Glencoe. Judging by the position of the sun on the right hand side I would imagine that, if this was the case, they would be driving South West on their return journey from the North West Coast where they regularly toured in June or September.
I would appreciate any clues as to the location from anyone familiar with this area.

Many thanks for all the suggestions and following TBM's earlier recommendation I have travelled the entire Glen along the A82 in both directions using Streetview. Like RobCol I can see that there is a close similarity with the view selected. I wish I had thought to use Streetview before for a virtual tour in almost real time. Having done this route I am now tempted to try others and wish I had thought of this at the beginning of lock-down. I could have toured most of Scotland by now!

After your work you've created a great looking picture...you might want to consider framing and displaying.

Thank you STT. The photo is a bit too grainy for anything larger than postcard size but have already printed up in readiness. I converted the image to B and W as the original coloured version was too unrealistic after the restoration work. It probably now only works as a composition because the Plus 8 was Royal Ivory. Certainly a darker colour wouldn't have given the contrast needed.

Delightfully atmospheric and very much the period. Actually it could be any time between 1950 and 1980! It might also look good in sepia finish.
