I still cannot see any mention in these threads of the age of the tyres. I would address that first before lashing out on shockers. Good point.

New tyres fitted before delivery but not sure if they have been balanced. Wire wheels are a specialist job to balance properly.

I agree with you, but in our context it is more about the hardening and embrittlement of tyres that are too old, because they are an important part of the suspension. I think it's very good that you actively examine and treat your car, just as you do with the fuel line. That way a positive relationship is built up. And I am convinced that the problem with the suspension is recognized and solved. I wish you good luck and quick following fantastic miles with the Morgan.

Doh! I see it now on your original post! And, having read it again, your description of the severe bobbing up and down would indeed be typical of worn shockers.

Outside chance but I managed to bend a kingpin sliding into a kerb, the car was almost undrivable due. To the bouncing. Worth a check.

Can I suggest you don't just fit new shocks but do some research and fit the ones that you think will suit you best.
If you look on GoMog you will see that the Rutherford AVO shocks come highly recommended and they were what I fitted to my car that made such a huge improvement.
