After deliberation I’ve stuck with what the factory fit and gone with the ZV7 at £71 each fitted, local to me for convenience.

They say they can balance wheels, so fingers crossed they have that correct.

That's what a dealer told me here too.
He could not - that's what I learned afterwards

So be careful!

The cynic in me (from experience) says “They all say that!” so rather than cross your fingers, suggest you watch it being done using the proper cones to centralise the hub. I am sure most tyre fitters want to do the right thing I have met more than one operator who simply has no idea of the correct procedure.

I put 205x65x15 zv7s on my 2014 GDI. Little bit more ground clearance and little bit more comfort.

Fully agree. I will get them to put a wheel on balancing machine to prove they can balance before changing tyres over.

I’m also in contact with HQ asking for them to confirm they can balance these type of wheels

This thread has me looking at alternate tyres to the 205/55R16 ZV7's on my Roadster as and when they need changing. Although a good compromise there are plenty with better wet and dry grip in the ultra high performance range but few if any available in my size, let alone 205/65R15, adding weight to Heinz comment. Neither Michelin Pilot Sport 4 or 4S are available for 15 or 16 inch rims example.

As suggested in another thread, tyre wear would not be a problem for most Morgan owners given their average low mileage per annum and weight.

After all that the garage called to say they can’t get hold of these tyres. Still trying to get them to read and comprehend why cones such as these are needed http://smoothridecones.co.uk/whatcar.html. Half tempted to buy the cones myself and rent them out at £5 a pop lol.

Dave, I have sent you a personal message,
I have a set of cones you can borrow. They are from that company.
