It is a job I enjoy very much (but anno domini doesn't make it any easier!) , and it is nice to give back something to another sport. I will be looking out for a Mog in the car park (but we tend to be out on the water well before the first event, so would probably we wouldn't meet) Alas I cannot transport my kayak on my +8 , so I use a Volvo estate which won't stand out like a Mog.

That is very low mileage for a trad, it needs to be used more and some of the troubles to be shaken out, just ask as many questions as you like here . There are no silly questions, but lots of stupid mistakes from not asking.

Enjoy your motoring, it will take about 6 months to re-learn how to drive it to get the best from it.

Hi Mog615.

I was so overwhelmed by the response I received to my first post that I am afraid I overlooked a couple of posts. Yes, I have competed at Eton Dorney a couple of times. Both were qualifying events for ETU/ITU events and I qualified both times. I have never done the London Tri. I hate swimming in rivers, but have the sea nearby.

I normally turn up to events in my campervan. It is so convenient, camp on site, own shower and bathroom, bike rack etc Should have been going to Malmo in Sweden for the European championships in August but that is cancelled. We planned to sell the van after that event but as it has been cancelled we decided to sell straight away and sold it in less than a week on Gumtree. No cost. Excellent. I doubt I will go to Eton Dorney again as I have decided tto give up serious triathlon. It is so expensive. Australia a couple of years ago, Switzerland last year. Edmonton for the worlds this year but decided it was too far. Malmo would have been my last,

We have an inflatable kayak which we kept in the van but we plan to sell that and buy a glassfibre three seater kayak; Joanna, myself and Gally (our whippet) who sails, kayaks, travels in thee different vehicles, also in his buggy behind my bike Oh! and he runs like the wind in short dashes but doesn't run with me as he doesn't have the stamina or maybe just gets bored.
