Today's small cars are pompous, ugly Humpty Dumpty. The safety is certainly better, but these cars are a visual affront.

I think safety comes from confidence/trust. Ive driven that little piggy on the motorway, once; Give me the Mog!

The wifey next door has the 4x4 version of the 500 and it always reminds me of an Alsatian taking a dump, not a pretty site and such a size.

I personally find the older 500's the most attractive but the newer versions are growing on me unlike the new MINI's..

Test drove the Plus Four today at Krazy Horse so up & down to Bury in the Roadster. Great fun all round but got a stone chip on the windscreen going back home. Headley agreed though to replace it under the insurance.

Waiting to get my chip sorted Monday. We have a lot of so- called resurfacing going on- crud flying everywhere.

I think that is the problem. They are sticking down gravel to repair roads all around Suffolk

Yes noticed not only repairs but whole sections of road replaced. Hopton and Great Barton are example's where for authenticity? they have managed to retain the bumpy surface

Truth be told the tar I used to repair patches in the lane seems to be sweating a bit in this hot weather, perhaps that may be why they are using chips to finish the surface...?

Despite the road surface in the pics the two pack lacquer finish on my Mogs chassis, cross-head, diff and much else of its underpinnings, seems to have suffered no real damage, even after many years since..!

Just been for a local tootle and I would say that traffic is now back to pre Covid levels. Train station car park which would usually be full is empty though.
