Great story. Reminds me of when I took one of my friends, a much reserved architect, out for his first ride. He is a car guy but had not been on a bike in years. A few minutes into the ride he giggled like a little school girl as he announced he was 'eye level with the dog' we had just passed!! That was it. He was hooked and decried he must have one when the ride was over.

In my short 9 months of ownership of our used M3W I have experienced only one negative response – from an elderly woman who steadfastly believed that cars should have 4 wheels, no more, and certainly no less(!!). Other motorists, pedestrians, bikers, are all positive. Had a bus driver stop his bus, full of people, and chat me up. Recently got chased down in the pandemic by a guy on a Harley wondering what the hell just passed him. Just yesterday I had a pedestrian stop dead in his tracks and stare as I went by. In the rear view mirror I saw him clapping his hands.

The current state of the world should remind us all that life is unpredictable and painfully short. I would like to think that we are all better off because three wheel cars like the M3W exist.

Similar experiences here too. Had a guy leave the business in which he was working and run a few buildings down the street when he saw me drive by and pull into a business in the same block. First question, “what is it?”, second question, “do you mind if I take a photograph?”, finally statement, “that is really cool!”.

I have put more smiles on other people’s faces than my own. I feel like I should be paid by the local municipality for being a supporter of good cheer for the community😊

I've owned more than my fair share of cars and I consider spending/wasting money on cars as my only real vice. Over our 24 years of marriage, my wife has come to accept that, even though she does not understand why I keep buying and switching cars. She does not pretend to care about any of my current or prior cars, but a few days ago while we were on a drive, she simply said "I like it"

I grew up with Motorcycles and rebuilding them with my Dad. Later in life he reacquired the bikes I worked on to ride: a 1954 Ariel Square4 & a 1961 Velocette Clubman. When he passed away he gifted me his bikes.

As I worked to get them back on the road I had another car wreck that damaged my left eye. When the MCs were ready I rode them briefly and found I could not safely retain my balance due to the eye damage.

So....with my wife's strong encouragement & support I sold both bikes (to a collector in Texas) and bought a factory new 2018 M3W.

Loving it and making a lot of modifications to it already.
