About a year ago in China when I needed something Western. I don't like the sweet soft rolls & tasteless to me burger. But each to his own.

I can imagine people enjoy some junk food after a severe lock down period. I am convinced many do not cook top class cousine style at home. So why not having a BigMac and fries once in a while? Avoid their chicken nuggets!

I like good burgers but not their stuff. Absolutely! I seem to remember a couple of you boys had some rather fine one's at The Walnut Tree in West Camel last year on our TM gathering. I love a proper burger that doesn't resemble a beer mat. Arwyn - that sounds disgusting - on a lot smaller scale we see a lot of them on the A379 through the village in the summer in grockle season. The nearest McRubbish is about 10 miles away in Paignton or Plymouth 35 miles in the opposite direction.

There's a drive through and restaurant a mile or so from my home. Long queue on Monday. And pre-lockdown queues 24x7. Personally I hate the stuff. Spent too long working in the meat industry in the late 1970s and 80s. Having seen what goes into patties most people would never touch them again. But from a financial position it's a goldmine.

The Memsahib and I occasionally indulge in a Big Mac and Chips, well with a voucher for £1.99 and a rumble tummy after trapping around the City, why wouldn't you. I do remember that program a while back where some chap ate nothing but Macs for a month, boy was he in a state.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

Never go near cheap burgers (tho happy to eat a real one) ..... however, I do have one fast food vice and that's stopping for a KFC during the long tow back from a race meeting ....only time I ever indulge. ...... just thought, and if it classes as fast food, I will hit one of the noodle bars if I'm in town over lunch, they can be quite addictive I guess I'm not as virtuous as I thought!! I must admit to thinking of KFC during the discussions of the terrible fast food lockdown , but have yet to succumb . Would love a good pasty, they are not too common down here.

I have to confess to liking an Indian or Chinese takeaway on occasions and I don't think they are too healthy really A day at FOS or Revival is one long food and drink fest but masses of quality choices is my experience - you have to let go sometimes don't you The wait is on foot and only around 10 people long just to keep it very vaguely on thread

About a year ago in China when I needed something Western. I don't like the sweet soft rolls & tasteless to me burger. But each to his own. Likewise a trip to South Korea many years ago. I had three days of endless Kimchee and odd things I dare not ask about (all cooked perfectly, presented better than any celeb chef could do etc) and my poor British belly could take it no longer. The hotel I was in had a shopping centre in the basement which had a Burger King in it. I can say without hesitation that burger (Double Whopper with Cheese) tasted better than pretty much any burger I have ever had! I agree re McD Chicken (adjacent) McNuggets. I decided to pull one apart one day just to see if I could identify any real meat. Ended up shredding three without finding anything useful. I am worried to admit I do like the KFC Chicken Popcorn. Almost nothing in the box so the margins on those must be pretty good.
