I bought my digger 6 years ago to do a house renovation with a view to selling it afterwards but keep finding jobs for it so can’t bring myself to sell it! Went small so I could get it indoors to dig up the floors but it’s amazing how much big outdoor work it’s done. Jeez, what have we started here...(-: When I started digging around my place, a pick and shovel were the tools in use, and if I have dug one ton I have dug well over a 100tons with those tools over the years I have owned this place, though I finally gave up with the pick and shovel and hired a couple of JCB 803 plus diggers, one with a pecker to break the rock and the other to dig it out, which was a whole lot better than the Kango hammer pick and shovel I used for the garage foundations...Garage to the left of pic. My old 1 ton pick up truck was worth it`s weight in gold too..(-: No more digging for me, and I wonder why my joints are stiff and sore... Back in the early 1960’s my aunt was having a bungalow built. The builder was Stan Quinnell. Stan had his son hand digging foundations and labouring with minimal JCB digger work. It was to build him up, together with drinking a lot of milk. Seemed to work....his son is Derek Quinnell. Rugby legend. She has some 8mm cine film of it tucked away. She is 98 now and like a spring chicken.

Philippo, nice purchase & some other nice kit from others here on show too
Just one tip to add to your nipples, if the machines stood for a while (especially outside) between uses, try & keep the exposed chrome rams clean & give 'em a quick wipe before firing up, I've paid for lots of ram refurbs when site lads don't do the daily check list
