Javier, this guessing could be turned into a nice little fuel fund for your next adventure - say £10 a guess and the winner gets a £5  and you get enough fuel for the rest of the year

Hi Javier
I hope your problem is not the same as I had with mine at 1700 miles in 2013
The engine started to make a loud clinking noise with a severe drop in power before finally stopping and would not restart again.
The cause turned out to be a screw in the air filter that had not been loctited, vibrated undone and got drawn down the air intake of one of the cylinders. This resulted in a bent inlet valve and the screw embedded itself in the crown of one of the pistons.
The car was obviously still under warranty but the factory said that all the engines in stock were for builds in progress and I had to wait 5 weeks for a new engine to be shipped over from the States.
Hope fully, your problem will not be anywhere near as bad as this.
I applaud your enthusiasm and you have a very understanding wife.
I hope you are back on the road very soon..

Reading all the above increases my appreciation for Calum`s epic adventures to foreign parts.... Sure hope your M3W issue is sorted out soonest Marmota.

Javier, as you know I'm not an M3W man but the Centa drive I rather fancy as a favourite from your description and being a regular reader of this M3W section. I really hope they get you going soon.

We should celebrate "Calum's Day" and make an annual pilgrimage to one of the places where he has repaired somethimg weird on the side of a greasy road under the rain, and bring offerings like broken fuel pumps, broken belts, burnt rectifiers, etc. Luddite what's your bet?

Impressed with your spirt and humour with all this Javier, I don't think I would be quite so good with it. You don't HAVE to have your car trailered home for the full M3W ownership experience. I have never failed to get home with my M3W yet in 7 years of ownership and 26,000 miles, although it has been close on one or two occasions. That may be tempting fate.....but my M3W is a far better car now than when it was new, mainly down to the pooled experience of this forum.
I really hope I am wrong but from the limited description, I still think it sounds like the Centa rollers have broken up (6). They can have some drive with very little roller left and some have been known to break up at very low mileages. At least it is all under warranty, no need for your hands to get dirty or get your wallet out, just the loss of your nice new M3W for a time, not good.

If the ash frame had cracked I'd be happier to hazard a guess as to the cause of that! However from what I've read in the 3 wheeler section I'm plumping for option 6.
