The loss of power and then recovery points me to No. 4 fuel pump but can't wait to find out the truth.

Fuel pump here too, its unlikely the centa would come back to full drive after partial drive ie loss of powerl.. they just keep progressively failing until terminal disintegration

I've had enough of the others to appreciate the differences. Been towed home 5 or 6 times for cam belt failure, dead alternator/rectifier, fuel pump and the failure of the compensator (mine was a 2012 HD thingie). The Centa unit has pulled over 30,000 miles and is behaving. The rest of the car has over 50,000 miles and it shows!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

The sound was like something rotating and clinking, but I assure that the pistons were not moving. The shacking of the engine while the big pistons move is quote obvious (I think). And there was absolutely no movement of the engine. Still and flat as pond water...
