Congrats on a simple fix. I have had both battery terminal bolts back off separately and strand me each time early in my M3W ownership. Now I must go check this starter earthing bolt in a preemptive strike... that one has not got me yet!

Here a question for you Javier, was there a Star washer under that loose lug?
Hello Stephen. We did not removed completely the hex nut, so can't tell you at 100%. But I had a very close look at it, and also have the pictures, and I guess there is none  If I see I can remove it easily in my garage without losing any washer or other small ítem, I might think about putting some Loctite thread locker.

Hang on - do we know what caused the rectifier to fail? It may have been the Flying Monkeys..... If we make a deep analysis…. and knowing that Flying Monkeys is a US Brewery https://www.flyingmonkeys.ca/ it might happen that the guy who tightened this hex nut had few of these beers before doing it… But how to prove it? Javier, some owners have run a second earth lead to the chassis. This would save the day regarding this issue but still requires regular inspection.

Wonderful news Javier, and such a simple fix too. True to form my thinking was proved to be wrong once AGAIN and to no one`s surprise I guess...(-: The only problem for you now is that you seem have been made aware of all of the many afflictions that can effect a M3W every time you fire it up...ever listening out for unusual noises...! Been there done that in my +8 after years of reading of Morgan maladies before I bought mine, and toured around your country and a bit of France and Italy... Hope you have many similar happy miles ahead..
