We need to see the bright side of life. And keep positive realizing we are permanently avoiding the worst…  So, a breakdown in a car, is just an anecdote and in this particular case even good memories…  My true and only nightmare on my M3W is having an accident, and my wife (first) and myself (second) getting injured. That would be really concerning.  Mechanical problems? Just a hick-up.  And look what happened with this thread: as you said, plenty of comments, we had fun, laughed about it, and enjoyed our virtual TM friendship. Such a welcome breakdown then!    I have to say it's a pleasure to read you all, and see that TM has this fantastic ambience. Thank you all for these good moments!  And Paul V won a bottle of Spanish wine!  Paul!! Don't hide and reply to my PM! We'll send you the bottle! A deal is a deal!

Happy to report that I tracked down the errant bolt in my car and it was already as tight as I could get it. It’s a 13mm bolt if anyone else needs to find the right spanner. Checked the battery connectors too and got another quarter turn in both.
Javier - I’m hoping you’re going to find all my potential problems for me! I already checked my mudguard bolts (they were the right way round), and followed your lead on the s&s air filter cover.
