When I was at MMC in September, I asked that question and, according to the factory tour guide, it was something to do with a problem with supplier of the electric motors, and that they were, at that time, developing their own motors and intended to restart the development of the EV3 - that was before Covid of course!

Thanks for that, I think they should continue development, they should be able to build an electric three wheeler for £40K! I think it would sell as well.

I'm not ready to replace the roar of my V8 with a load of Duracells yet 😉but the time will probably come (hopefully after I've stopped driving).

Steve, thanks for the tip-off, I'm certainly interested (EV test driver for 4 1/2 years grin2 )

I just looked at the videos on the net. Shocking!! The Barbarians are taking a beautiful flat plane crank V8 with racing heritage out of a 308 GTS and replacing it with the guts from a Dyson. They outght to be shot. And if they ever got to Modena they likely would be.

The whole point of a Ferrari is its engine. The bodywork could be made by dozens of companies and probably better too. For years Ferrari made the engines and bought in the bodies from the likes of Scaglietti or other coash builders. It was often said that you bought the engine from them and got a body thrown in for free.

Its an outrage!. You might just as well buy a kit replica .

I agree that they shouldn't be cutting up classics and removing their IC engines but I would be up for a new electric Morgan...

I was discussing this with the Mrs - I'm of the opinion that if the only way I could keep my Mog on the road, AND there was a proper charging infrastructure (which I reckon we are many decades away from) I wouldn't be adverse to a conversion (especially if it gave me Tesla performance smile )

However, her main point was 'but I'd miss the noise!" - and this is only a 1600 (on a bigbore straight through exhaust)

+1 for the Ferrari comment!

Leave the classics alone as their milage does not count that much.

For the new ones I can clearly tell that the first thing I don`t miss - is the engine sound.
Just returned from a short trip to Styria with the e-tron. Must say, it´s perfect comfort.

My son (15) choose to take the e-tron instead of the Morgan as he feared possible rain;)
