I guess a lot of you are familiar with Harry's Garage on Youtube.

I have just come across a sub-series he is doing on the re-build (by Tyrells) of the V12 engine from his Lamborghini Espada.

First episode link here -

https://youtu.be/jG2Gwh-H7YE

The good news is there are now 6 episodes , with the latest one showing the engine build completed and going back in the car and - firing up (turn up the volume !) .... drive

Worth a watch if you have a bit of free time on your hands.....

James

I remember when my mate Jeremy down the road’s dad bought a lime green Espada in 1976 with his redundancy money! He was an ex printer and used to do the school run occasionally, which was something else and always an experience. Turned heads at the local comp and cost much fuel too. He maintained it himself but struggled with balancing 6 twin choke Weber’s! Don’t know where the car is now.

When I went to college in Worthing in the 70’s one of the Iranian students had an Espada. I used to think he was so lucky. I wonder what happened to him. He possibly isn’t so lucky these days.

Mildly interesting which is more than you can say for the you tube videos that Tyrell himself has started doing. Obviously knows his mechanics but certainly not how to make something interesting.

Thanks James I had watched the engine in but had not seen the preceding videos.

I like Harry Metcalfe, I find him very watchable, a true car enthusiast and not up himself.
