Hello from Watford UK I am a lifelong fan and 1st time Morgan owner since March at the grand old age of 67. My Mog is 2009 4.4 with 1600 Sigma (110bhp) with factory track day pack, which is what made me choose this particular car to buy. I was a kit car builder before the Morgan and I have always thought of Morgans as posh kit cars. With this in mind it is no. surprise that I have already installed a full custom exhaust including headers and had the rear end set up by Wolf Performance including Panhard and anti-tramps. (major improvement). I am now into the power side of things and intend to exceed 150hp eventually but 125 should be available now with a decent remap? It was not the perfect time to buy my first Morgan and it was painful not being able to drive and enjoy it, but I now intend to make up for it! Looking forward to meeting other Morganistas in my area and in the wider Morgan community through track days and events. I also want to join my nearest owner's club if anyone could point me in the right direction? My other great passions are hifi and watches.

Welcome Barry, wishing you many happy adventures in your new car these are a delight to drive, I had one for 4 years and 24,000 miles and found that Toyo tyres improved handling significantly over the Conti's.
I'm half deaf and don't wear a watch since retiring but there are quite a few fans of both on here, enjoy your time here.

Welcome Barry, nice to see new members like you coming. Yes, beside the Mog there are some here, not just a few who like hifi and watches as well...and guitars:) And in the Malvern Arms section we have great discussions about all this topics which add to the quality of life so nicely.

Welcome Barry from Aberdeenshire. I've been a Morgan owner for a couple of years now so a relative newcomer. You'll find TM a fantastic source of information and not restricted to cars either. I'm not into watches, don't have the time but was into hi-fi back in the day, I have a Linn/Naim system which doesn't get used as much as it should unfortunately. Enjoy your new car and many happy miles to you.

Thanks for the welcome, to JohnV6 for the links and to Gordon D for the smile. Gordon if you are a vinyl fan we have lots to talk about! I am a valve man but have had Linn/Naim in the past (Sondec/135s)

Welcome Barry. I was a kid in Hunton Bridge and once worked in the Odean next to the pond in Watford.

Hi Barry, I came to Morgan’s a couple of years ago from kit cars. Formally owned a Grinnall Scorpion, I liked the Morgan e wheeler but went for a plus 4 as my wife refused to go in a 3 wheeler.
I hope you enjoyMorgans as much as I have

Barry, welcome, never too late to start enjoying a Morgan, and the Morgan community. I bought one about 15 years ago when I noticed my friends were popping off their mortal coils and I wasn't sure if I would reach retirement. Fortunately medical science worked its magic and I am still enjoying my Plus 8 Plus 4, or would be if we had some events to go to. I am the joint centre sec of Swanmog, drop me a PM with your email and I will send you some info. We are a bit on hold at the moment but we are staying alert !
I don't have a decent hifi system at the moment, but still have a lasting memory of a system I had from years ago, and the sound of Prokofiev played through a pair of Quad Electrostatics. Would they sound as good today ?
