nothing matters very much, and hardly anything matters at all.

What are the things I shouod attend to as part of a routine yearly service on my plus 4...oil change, kingpins, brake pads/shoes.what else? Depends how OCD you are. I also check: plugs and leads ( Magnecors in my case, so low risk area), air filter element, Coolant level and strength ( in fact I change mine very year), all hoses and joints, I assume you'll look at oil filter element when you consider oil change. If car is any age, what about your auxiliary belt ( ie alternator)? You might also want to look at tightening various bolts/nuts etc because we are talking here about a car with a separate chassis which will flex and loosen all sorts of things GLLHG PS On a personal level,I'd also check things such as brake fluid strength, diff oil and gearbox oil but wouldn't consider these as routine ( ie yearly) things.

G, your mention of the air filter makes me ask the additional question of when an ITG filter should be changed for a new one. I regularly clean mine but I have had it for nine years. Meabh.

G, your mention of the air filter makes me ask the additional question of when an ITG filter should be changed for a new one. I regularly clean mine but I have had it for nine years. Meabh. I've seen blurb which claims that the ITG TriFoam filters can last up to 15 years but on a personal level, I'd be loath to keep one that long- even with regular washing. As to the washing/re-oiling, I work on about 8-10,000 miles but again, I've seen longer intervals recommended It really is very important NOT to overoil them though Before I fitted the ITG I looked hard at all the options ( K&N, Green, Pipercross etc) I was very taken with BMC's Carbon Dynamic Airbox but I couldn't find a way to package it For my money, ITG's closed system Maxogen is the one to go for- but at the end of it all, it's a very personal thing and the dyno don't lie regards, G

Changing out brake fluid can be a real benefit. I agree. because, of course, brake fluid is hygroscopic, the water it attracts can quickly lower its boiling point. I recently replaced all the flexible brake hoses on my 4/4 with Goodridge s/s braided items so it gave me a good chance to drain and clean the system thoroughly. I tend to do it every one or at most two years but I have seen a number of vehicle maintenance manuals which recommend annual changes as essential Cheers, G

Brake fluid must be every two years. Go Mog has a service guide which might help http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/GoMogServiceList.htmlGood luck

It's much easier if you use a fluid transfer tool to empty the master cylinder first which saves pumping all the old fluid through the system. With MogMileage, two years should be OK.

Hasn't every garage got one?My Draper model has had pride of lace on my shelf for years ( Mind you, might be something to do with having to bleed MG systems!! Cheers Dave G
