That bulkhead looks quite reasonable considering it has been sitting around for so long.
I know the Bahamas climate is reasonable (used to visit Freeport, Grand Bahama regularly) compared to many areas, but there is still salt air.

That is one of the early high compression engines , 10.5 : 1. These are so much better than the later ones where the compression ratio was dropped to 9.25 : 1

The only issue might be the need for the highest octane fuel available . When new they needed 5 Star fuel (long since disappeared of course)

That's interesting to know - what can you do are there additives to give you the extra ergs required ?

Yes that's what intrigues me about Bob's car - he is really looking forward to making the complete wooden frame as he is a carpenter to trade.
You might recall the termites ate the other one in it's entirety.
All they left was the marine ply bits.

Bob's got his first dolly made to aid movement of the car, the next stage is building a higher one and get the car fork lifted onto it.

I take it that is an oil cooler not aircon on the +8?

It's an oil cooler John, Luddite mentioned he had one on his earlier Plus 8 too, I hadn't realised they had one fitted to the early one's.

I will ask Bob about the boat Graham, it intrigued me.
