Thats a fantastic project it will make a great Morgan story, hope Bob records it all would love to see the progress.

We are in regular contact and I update the thread when Bob sends me images as it progresses Bruce, Bob is a bit stalled at the moment for obvious reasons and the next job is separating the gearbox and clutch to get the engine sent away for a rebuild as it hasn't turned over for 38 years.

I'll be watching progress.

I’m amazed at how little looks salvageable. Other than the drive train, there can’t be much that’s usable, surely?

Loads of saveable stuff there ...... most of it could be restored if originality was key .... though if not, then some of it might be harder/costlier to renovate than replace .

Originality is Bob's goal and that is why he has asked for the gauge of the body panels (1969 model all steel) so he can make good the bad areas but he hasn't had an answer to that question yet.
If it's possible he's going to save the chassis.

All the hard to find parts are there -:7HA axle Moss box, instruments etc.

Can't see a problem with a rebuild

A bit more progress from Bob, some of the metal is looking good.

First time I've seen the rubber gasket around the bell housing more or less intact!

That is one big project
