The shower cap thread reminded me that I'm trying to find a Sun cap. Same idea as a shower cap but in a light coloured material (white cotton?) to try and keep the sun out of the cockpit when parked and to act as a dust cap when garaged.
Any ideas anyone?

In 1982 my mother in law made me a cotton cover for the MGBGT out of curtain lining material from the market. It cost tuppence and I still have it, but it's not big enough for the Mog!

For garage use, I've used a Super King flannel flat sheet.
The Shower Cover thread mentions John Taylor; as he makes the covers, there is no reason he cannot make a sun cover out of soft material.

Hi Simon / Dave
By coincidence I use an old flannel sheet for indoors, but it does have a tendency to slide off, Alas I have no Mother-in-law - or indeed any relatives with sewing ability.
I did talk to John Taylor earlier this year he was helpful but said that because of the volume of material he has to order on-offs are not cost effective.

I just throw over my Storm Cover which does a great job repelling UV light, tree sap, dust etc. Really quick to put on/take off. I find it protects the mohair tonneau/hood too.
