Very nice Andy, I went for a very slightly dished wheel same design as yours & paired it with a shallower boss from Motolita

Congratulations wt this very nice Roadster, is the interior color chinamon? Asking, as it very much looks like on my car. Nice steering wheel too! Wishing you many happy safe miles. The interior is Yarwood Brooklands Honey. I've actually ordered another, smaller, steering wheel for a little more knee room, though I do like the way that that one looks. You might also find a smaller steering wheel is easier to use. With the electric assistance you could even manage with smaller diameter than standard but certainly not larger as steering is already too low geared IMO.

I'm right on the height limit for a comfortable driving position, but the steering wheel and my left leg are having the occasional argument at the moment. I've ordered a 13' Moto-Lita with a thick rim and dark wood in an attempt to alleviate this, however the estimated delivery time is about 14 weeks at the moment! My wife is at the other end of the height spectrum so I can't go for a dished wheel. We have a specially manufactured clutch pedal attachment in order for her to reach the pedal, so I can't do anything that pushes her further away from the pedals!

I'm at the point of ordering a similar Moto-Lita as well, also 13" thick wood rim with (likely) no dish for similar reasons. Just waiting on feedback regarding boss offset v OE. Like you I think a smaller wheel would give more steering feel with forces still fine given electric assistance. Problem though is my factory leather rimmed wheel is only 13" and although 12" Moto-Lita is an option, think it would look too small on car. It looks like you ordered the factory option Moto-Lita which is listed as 14" so there will be an improvement for you.

Congratulations with a nice car and welcome to what I regard as a exeptionally helpful and friendly community. As for the steering wheel, have you considered this: https://www.moto-lita.co.uk/steering-wheels/offset-wood-rim-wheel/ ? It is 14" dia only, but the offset might give you even more leg room than a 13". And by using the lowering mechanism for your wife, she could find it comfortable too. Just a thought.

I had one of those on my 4x4 & +4 where the column was fixed. They do work really well on my chubby thighs.

Chubby thighs John. Could that be your new moniker?
