When I was a "lab rat" we were always warned about the effects long term exposure of skin to solvents.
I know that the need to sanitise hands is important, but not at the cost of dermatitis or worse.
Soap and Water is the preferred means of hand sanitisation, alcohol gels are NOT suitable for regular use, and should ALWAYS be followed by moisturizer.
Even when offered, I don't use the gels, I prefer to wash my hands and then wear gloves, using alcohol sanitizer on the gloves if I'm feeling paranoid.....
