Hello. Those who have and use the Protune 2 software to check your engine, please let me know which features you can see and do with this software (assuming that my ECU is locked, I know that I won't be able to do more than reading). To be more precise: can you see the historic and present alarms? Can you reset them? Thanks. For the curious: the reason I ask this is that today I went to the dealer's garage because I had the check-engine warning light on for the past two days, despite the 3-Wheeler seemed to run perfect. We connected the garage laptop… and according to their software (I can’t assure it’s the Protune 2) the car is perfect. So perfect that there was no alarm in the historic, and no present alarm. But the check-engine was on! We were really shocked and tried to reset the alarms but couldn’t as there was none to reset / delete. After some minutes with the laptop connected, the check-engine light went off. And until now, as if nothing ever happened… Now, If I have the Protune 2 in my laptop, and this happens again, I can check it myself before losing time going to the garage for nothing. That’s why I ask.

Marmota Yes, you can see the recorded faults and clear them. You can also see a live readout of all the sensor readings which might give you a hint towards what triggered the warning light. It also lets you know various things like maximum revs, hours running etc.

I would love to get an ECU Port cover plate and modify it to allow a cable affixed to it to run a laptop in the cockpit and at the same time seal the ECU. Has anyone done this?

A little time with a drill...maybe some touch up with the Dremel...silicone sealer for the short adaptor cable...
I have the 6" adaptor cable with a dust seal for the USB type A female port when not in use, but haven't gotten around to the mod yet.

I was thinking about that. But I want to get an extra cover for the ECU before I try it. Might be hard to get but S&S just might have one laying around.
