Hi folks, this is my first post. Wanting to introduce myself. I have just bought my eightth Morgan, a 1999 narrow body 4/4 1800 Zetec. It has the "tombstone" headrests and I am considering getting slimmer ones retrimmed as my interior is a unique St. James red. Does anyone know the origin of those more modern headrests? I was lookiing at Triumph Spitfire ones and they looked dead similar. Also, would anyone here be interested purchasing mine if and when this actually happens?

Just wanted to attach the image and the file manager says the limit would be 0,001MB? 1999?

Varedo, welcome to TM

In the past some have found that MG ones fit, but if you want to maintain the proper factory look you may be able to get your local Morgan dealer to order a pair of untrimmed ones from the factory for your local trimmer to finish with the correct leather

The MG/BL head restraints are not quite the same shape, but the stalks are the same.

I am sure Allon White would oblige at a cost.

I am sure everyone would oblige at a cost. I like the idea of getting untrimmed ones from the factory, nice idea. And no, the MG ones are slightly wrong in shape, I thin the Spitfire ones are as close as possible without using the original. But as I have to retrim anway, I will see if I can get the factory to come up with something.

Welcome to the forum.
For images the two photo gallery forums work fairly well but many use third party image hosting to store photos that will be included in posts.

Have a look at https://www.tm-img.com/page/ifu

I replaced mine as I didnt like the brick look.

I bought some old MG ones off ebay and re-trimmed them.
Note - MG headrest post seem to be a tad over size so I had to file them down somewhat to fit in the tunnel. IMO its worthwhile mod as the tombestone ones look like awful ( no offence, just my opinion )

I like very much what you have reached with your head rests, Bonesie.
