The replacements I got were lubricated but all 4 of the ones fitted to my car from new were dry when I checked them. I don't think they were lubricated from new as there was no trace of grease. To check or grease them just remove the spring clip from the boot and lift it up. Replacement boots are available if they are split or perished.
