In looking at the price list, I wondered what's the basis for the large price bump for Bespoke leather over Sport leather. Other than having a wider color selection, is there any quality difference that would explain why Bespoke leather costs so much more?

If Sport leather means 'Sport' Trad leather then it will be a spec in keeping with Sport pricing.
Bespoke leather will be higher quality and probably a bit thicker. My experience of buying leather offcuts from e-bay has shown just what a big difference there can be in thickness, strength and grain.

Followup to my original post – would be nice if the online showroom would allow users to model Bespoke leather colors in conjunction with Sport paint colors.

Would be nice to know steering wheel color options, too, because that would almost certainly influence leather and paint selections. For example, traditional wood-colored steering wheel might look very wrong with black exhausts and trim. Maybe Morgan has a nifty ebony wood steering wheel in its back pocket.

I doubt if bespoke leather is better quality than Sport unless you choose the distressed hides. If you check out the option list for +4 bespoke cars all leather is priced the same with the exception of distressed. I rather think it is very much about economies of scale, ie streamlining production, bulk purchasing, minimising waste and inventory levels.

The "Sport" leather is much harder wearing then the Muirhead leather on my previous car on which the finish on the side bolsters wore off in places in less than six months. Neither Morgan nor Muirhead responded to my complaint.

According to a Morgan dealer the distressed leather is not that good in damp conditions and therefor not recommended for the M3W. Rumour or fact?

Morgan France got troubles with distressed leather when it got wet with rain on a seat side, it showed non removable marks and since then they refuses to sell it again.

In what specific way(s) do you consider it superb? Is other available leather really waterproof? How about durability of the leather and seat cushion material (foam, horsehair... ?) of both types of leather if they were to get wet occasionally? Also, could rain and other water cause damage to electronics, instruments, wiring, or cause floor pan rust, etc.? Or, has Morgan designed their cars to be impervious to the elements?

Only earlier having had cars with real roofs...or one that quickly moves into place with the press of a button...

I intend to use my M3W on a very regular basis, meaning that it will probably end up in all sorts of weather. Will the leather be ruined after just once being soaked in rain, be stained or damaged in any way? Is it recommended to treat/impregnate it at delivery (very much like a horse saddle)?

How are you treating your leather seats to make them age with beauty?
