as others have said they like being used. Grease up the front but also use bike chain lube on the rear springs. You can access them by taking out the tool tray behind the rear seats.
Tyre pressure is critical the tyres are part of the suspension unlike modern cars so 22 psi.

Welcome Andy. I too was disappointed with the leaking hood and sidescreens. But you will sort it. There are many threads on here discussing the subject, but I went for Dave W's recommendation of a 3mm neoprene strip on hood where is meets the header rail to avoid the shower on the forehead. And then Allon White sidescreen inner panels (a bargain addition IMHO) which stop most of the jets from the side. And finally a bit more neoprene on the back inside edge of the lower part of the sidescreen to keep the elbows dry. We carry a couple of mini camping towels to wipe any drips, but were are just about weatherproof now. We did have rain coming through the hood stitching once, but that was in an ungodly thunderstorm in central Europe where we had to stop and park up as you couldn't see the road ahead!

Is your roof vinyl or mohair? If vinyl, they tend to leak on the seams as the water finds its way into the stitch holes. Some seam sealer will soon sort it. The header rail is another area of the roof has not been correctly erected and the seal has been damaged.
The advice above re tire pressures is worth checking out - 22psi is fine.

What a difference a day makes.
Sun out, roof & sidescreens off , tyre pressures adjusted & everything feeling like its loosening up. Feels like a totally different car.
Might be a silly question, but should there be a tool tray under the carpet on the rear shelf?

Might be a silly question, but should there be a tool tray under the carpet on the rear shelf? That’s great news. If your car has a spare wheel, then there should be a tool tray under the rear shelf. It should contain jack and other tools for a wheel change. IIRC, the tool tray is not fitted to cars without a spare wheel.

Andy, GREAT to read that you are discovering the joy of Morgan ownership. That which you described took me back to my first drive out in the sun on my local favourite roads, to then go on and check out some interesting roads in other countries, or not, whatever, there is a lot to be discovered...
