Interesting that you should mention the interior, I don't recall any feelings at all at Ascot on that front so assume it was sort of normal.
We saw a white Gull Wing one in Cornwall last year that parked up to us at the Eden Project and it was quite impressive and the interior in white leather it looked fabulous, I agree it's difficult to dress up a large flat screen though.
Heather even asked what it was and liked the interior although dimensionally it's a bit bus like for down here but as a motorway muncher I bet it's superb.
When we are levered out of Devon for some happening or other I will say I'm impressed with the Tesla charging network as we journey across the country from West to East.

With apologies for the thread drift.... tbh I have no complaints about the build quality- the historic panel gaps and paint issues appear to have been solved over recent months. With my normal general daily use I haven’t even had to install a home charger. I get over 300 miles range and probably only plug in to the wall two or three times a week for an overnight charge to top up-even this often is likely a bit over the top, but am still getting used to it...Max cost to charge even from empty is likely to be about £10 - £12 so expect to save around £2500-£3000 in fuel costs per year, ignoring the zero BIK. No brainer for me....and bloomin’ ‘eck it’s quick, regardless of what speed you’re already driving...and you get used to the completely dial free dash v quickly. The speedo is to the left of the steering wheel so driving my Mog has been great practice for where to direct my eyes... HB

Richard, a friend of mine has just purchased a Tesla. Red in colour with white interior which I commented on. He told me it was vegan leather (in other words fake). He took me for a drive and yes it goes like stink but it has no soul.

That was probably the thought I had when I looked at the dash that it had no soul just a stonking big screen, they certainly seem to go well and have the range perhaps our expectations are too high ?

The latest programme featured a Fiat 500 which the owner paid a lot of money for at auction and then spent a further £17K to convert to electric. I am amazed at the competencies or should I say incompetencies of the so called mechanics in the process of conversion. No safety glasses worn whilst grinding, the crude way a second hole was cut in the body and then the very amateurish way an adaptor was fitted, removed and butchered to fit the motor made me cringe. You would expect the company to have a small lathe at least? The original aluminium Fiat badge was slung so a shiny repro could be fitted.......Mmmmm I’m still not convinced!
As observed in their workshop at the end of the programme a Gordon Keeble was in evidence. I just hope and pray they don’t convert it. That would be like fitting a plastic stock on Purdey shotgun.

Don’t worry fuel - I doubt she will be having to plug in at the food bank any time soon.

She lives in an expensive looking terraced house in central London, I don’t think the neighbours would be very happy if she had an extension lead training across the pavement! Her young son bought the car in an online auction and she didn’t seem to know much about it, she said that the engine had blown but it turned out it just needed a good service! Smacked of more money than sense to me.

The gorgeous little engine they took out is a flyer in 500 terms and if it was a runner worth at least 2k the previous owner must have restored it the gearbox looked new even the removed petrol tank looked asi if it had just been fitted. Lovely little car for London though.

I am glad I haven't seen this. my blood pressure went up even before the thought of the Gordon Keeble being butchered.

Yes, I feel exactly the same way. From the sounds of it these guys are butchers rather than engineers...
