Hello fellow Morganeers, Ledgerwood Morgan in offer a power upgrade to the Mk2 Roadster which improves the power and performance to the latest 2011 specification. That is from 204 hp to 235 hp. http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/dealersites/ledgerwood-morgan/our-servicesAny experience or thoughts (I added "thoughts" as this may suit the forum better) on this (in my view) expensive (£1750.00+vat) upgrade? Kind regards, BertR

After reading the page you linked to I am not certain the cost stops there. Am I correct in reading the exhaust system as an additional cost?

Hi Trent, Indeed, i understand there is an extra for exhaust for some (5 hp) addional power, to get to 240 HP. Making these extra HPs expensive.... Cheers, Bert

I "upped" my mk2 to 217bhp, but still, you drive it "on the torque" also: ask for a graphic: my "extra" was in the last 1500rpm, which you almost never use for me (and I did both trackdays&RING-trips) it was money badly spend

Ecu and exhaust, The car doesn't need it To optimise yours: Have the front of your seats positioned higher (standard: you feel like sliding off during hard breaking) Ask for AeroRacing brakepads Put a little negative camber up front Semi-slick tires (fine in rain too) If you don't mind spending on your car: 'new' steering house and diff from +4ss
If you Really want more horsepower: pm me

Personnaly I like the idea to overboost my 2008 roadster, but after almost 3 years with my V6 "stage 2", I am not sure I've ever needed more power. If there was a necessary improvement it would be certainly an improvement of the driver, me. An new chip in my head allowing me to drive it with a better efficency, without fear, new skills to cornering and breaking at the perfect time, etc... Transforming the standard driver I am to a good pilot.
