Don’t think anyone has answered yet. If you lift the carpet on the shelf behind the seats (move both back rests forward to do this makes life easier) then the wood panel should have a pair of turn flaps at the front, use hole to insert finger like an old phone and swing forward then the panel should lift from the front edge first as it tucks under the rear.

You should find your plastic tray and tools. If the wood panel is screwed down you may well find that there is no tool tray, I have heard some late car owners say their cars came without The tray, others say they had one, it’s a Morgan after all.

If there is a spare wheel, there is a tool tray. If there is not a spare wheel, then the wood panel will be screwed down.

Do be careful lifting the wood panel out or replacing it on a blustery day - it has quite a lot of windage and it is easy to lose control of the panel and end up with a dented wing. Don't ask how I know .....

Just had a thought, my car has a screwed down panel and no tool tray. Anyone tried to fit a plastic tray underneath the wood panel on a car like this? I could soon make a pair of turn pieces to hold the front down. I know it will stand proud the thickness of the plastic tray by that doesn’t worry me. And if it’s a yes anyone got a plastic tray they want to sell (I know they are rubbish but they are useful for keeping the jack and handle out of the way!

funny you should mention that. I gave my old plastic tray to Nickplus 4. He didn't see how to fit it. I am sure he would let you have it for a bottle of wine if you collect form Ipswich.
It is a bit battered though. The red rubber covers where the diff punched holes.

That would be good John, at the moment I am supposed to still isolate (but I don’t fully stick to it) Nick is it something I can get Hermes to collect? More than happy to supply a bottle of wine though or aa charity donation whichever you prefer? I have a Hermes account so assume they could pick up for me to save you any bother? My old +4 one had holes in the same place so
I cut out and re-fibre glassed and that’s fixed it.

Don’t know how it would fit but can’t see it being a big issue.

Just tried Hermes and they won’t pick up except from my home because they say documentation needs including etc etc. Doesn’t sound like they were very interested to be honest. They want scannable labels and will only only send them here so not exactly helpful! Might be asking a bit much for Nick to parcel up and drop at post office. Never mind it was just an idea to get jack out of footwell (previous owner had bought a jack and handle as they also fitted a spare wheel carrier rack.

Sold a motorbike wheel a few weeks ago - buyer arranged for Hermes to collect from my address. He emailed me a pdf of the label, which I printed off, stuck on the parcel and then Hermes turned up next day to collect.

Now that’s a great idea, thanks. Assuming the owner wants to get rid of course.
