What is the battery life?
The standard battery lasts approximately 2h30min with the camera in stand-by (so that starts to record at the touch of the button) taking videos of 2-3min time when passing by a nice scenario meaning a total recording time of 20-25 minutes. Resuming: 2h30 to 3h00 in stand by with 20-25min recording. Not too much. It's one of the known weaknesses of the GoPro... I carry two batteries. But that's clearly short by one. Or maybe two, as the ideal would be to carry 4 in total, so it would cover a super long day and lot of minutes recording.

Thank you. That is still more life than the insta360, but I guess I am lucky to have a battery charging and download usb connection, one of those micro ones.

Javier - here in the US you can get replacement battery doors for the GoPro that expose the USB socket (although you lose the waterproofing), so that you can operate it with a charging cord in place. Here's an example.I expect you can find something similar locally.

three days of driving to the parkway and having picnics... life in the mountains of Virginia is wonderful
