Having grown up with British motorbikes I have long been intimately familiar with The Prince of Darkness. My first bike was a 1940's Matchless, ex War Dept, girder forks and with the Lucas electrics sandwiched between the engine and clutch, requiring almost complete disassembly at every failure which was ll too frequent. The Americans ask why do the Brits drink warm beer? Because their refrigerators are made by Lucas!

Love the reference to Lucas Refrigerators👍, the light probably does not come on either.

The photo is a few years old and the tool kit has grown somewhat. Still fits in the bag though. 36 & 24mm spanners sit in the boot.

Does Vermont require an engine check inspection for a Motorcycle registration, I thought they just required a VIN check?

Mallet is there, but where is the big ring spanner to get wheel hub nuts off? BINGO!  Do you have spinners instead of the wheel hub nuts? That would negate the need for the spanner... My Bad! You still need a wooden spinner spanner or a block of wood to prevent spinner damage

You still need a wooden spinner spanner or a block of wood to prevent spinner damage just use your hand

I've got a cam belt and a photocopy of the S&S engine manual in my spares kit. 'Must add a fuel pump I suppose too......
